David-Max a home goods and artist boutique at 187 Main Street in East Greenwich now offers custom furniture refinishing “I wanted solid wood, American made furniture with a modernized look. I love Anthropology, HomeGoods and Pier 1, but I wanted something more unique and of better quality” says Owner Courtney Grady-Caclione. She continued “So many people disregard old pieces and throw them out or stick them in a yard sale. I want to give those items a revival. A second chance”.
Chairs, mirrors, end tables, bedroom sets, frames and dressers are an example of the items available for refinishing at David Max but Grady-Calcione insists “You name it, chances are it can be done”. Typical refinishing projects can range from a couple days to a couple of weeks depending on the piece(s), its current condition and supplies needed for the project. Quotes are free by bringing the piece into David-Max, emailing a picture or even sharing on Facebook. For large items pick-up and delivery service is available for a small fee. “At David-Max, I want you to have that custom, one of a kind feel at a reasonable price” adds Grady-Calcione.
